Adobe has announced that Flash Player 10.1 player for mobile units is ready. The final version will appear on the Android platform first, when the mobile phone makers upgrade their models to Android 2.2 (FroYo).
Adobe lets the platform developers decide and says that the Flash player is now ready, but it’s up to the developers to add it to the operating systems. In the upcoming months the mobile version of Flash Player 10.1 is expected to appear on Symbian OS, MeeGo, LiMo, Windows Phone, WebOS and BlackBerry.
Devices supporting “Froyo” and Flash Player 10.1 are expected to include the Dell Streak, Google Nexus One, HTC Evo, HTC Desire, HTC Incredible, DROID by Motorola, Motorola Milestone, Samsung Galaxy S and others.
As expected more or less all platforms except Apple iOS will support Flash 10.1 and the effects of this is impossible to predict.
