As many of you most likely know, we have a bunch of scared and addicted overclockers in the crew and we try to follow the development among other overclockers. We have editors competing in many of the events arranged by the major component makers, for example Mean Machine participated in the Gigabyte Open Overclocking Championship finals in Taipei last fall. Alas the report was postponed indefinitely, but thanks to MSI and its Master Overclocking Arena we have been given a chance to report on his gigantic event.
The qualification round of Master Overclocking Arena is already over for Europe and some of the finest among the European overclockers competed in the European finals held in Munich in June. Our Swedish overclockers Jon “elmor” Sandström and Henry “ME4ME” de Kruijf managed to tweak their systems and claims a rewarding third place, between the Bavarian beer rounds (complete list of results at MadShrimps).
We at NordicHardware will be going to the finals in Beijing from where we will be covering the events toward the end of the month. Beside our own reports Overclocking-TV will have its regular live stream from the event.
