Intels nya mellanklassprocessorer i Core i5 familjen är fortfarande ett flertal månader in i framtiden. Men marknaden börjar redan göra sig redo för den nya LGA1156 plattformen som processorerna kommer att jobba på. Vi har vid flera tillfällen sett skymtar av P55-baserade moderkort, som blir den första LGA1156 styrkretsen, och nu är det dags för de första kylflänsarna. Arctic Cooling har tillkännagivigt sin Apline 11 serie av CPU-kylare som just är utvecklad för LGA1156 sockeln. Kylarna har även stöd för Intels LGA775 plattform och verkar precis som processorerna komma med ganska konkurrenskraftiga specifikationer.

Alpine 11 Series Ultra Quiet Coolers for Intel Socket 1155/1156
To cope with the future demand for the up-and-coming Intel socket 1156, the Swiss low noise cooling solution provider ARCTIC COOLING today announced the launch of the new Alpine 11 series. This new CPU cooler series consists of three models – Alpine 11 Pro, Alpine 11 and Alpine 11 GT to target different purchasing groups.

The Alpine 11 Pro features a more sophisticated acoustic design than the stock cooler. Thanks to the patented vibration absorption and fan holder, the cooler is barely audible – only 0.4 Sone at 2,000 rpm – a standard that the stock cooler cannot compete. With a 92mm PWM fan and a bigger heatsink design, the maximum cooling capacity of the Alpine 11 Pro achieves 95 Watts.
