Corsair har nu som väntat lanserat ett nytt flaggskepp på Solid State Drive marknaden. Minnestillverkarens P256-enhet har en lagringskapacitet på 256GB som utgörs av MLC-minneskretsar från tillverkaren Samsung. Samsung står även som leverantör för enhetens minneskontroller, vilket borgar för god prestanda som med en 64MB minnescache förhoppningsvis ska ta upp kampen på Intels X-25 serie. Prestandaspecifikationerna lyder 220MB/s läshastighet resp. 200MB/s skrivhastighet, vilket helt klart inger respekt. Men dataöverföringshastighet är som bekant bara en viktig måttstock för en SSD. Priset på enheten ska enligt obekräftade källor ligga på drygt 7000 kronor.

Corsair Announces New 256GB High-Performance Solid-State Drive
