Det verkar som att de extremöverklockade Radeon HD 4890 grafikkorten nu börjar anlända i en strid ström. Efter att både XFX och Sapphire börjat skeppa ut sina nya modeller av HD4890 med GPU-klockfrekvenser på 1GHz har nu PowerColor höjt ribban ytterligare med sin PCS++ serie. Man har lanserat två PCS++ modeller som förutom en effektivare ZeroTherm kylare även överklockats direkt på plats i tillverkarens fabriker. GDDR5-minnet har fått en klockfrekvens på 4400MHz medan kortens GPU arbetar i 1010MHz. Med andra ord "hela" 10MHz högre klockfrekvens än konkurrenterna från XFX och Sapphire. Det enda som skiljer PowerColors 1GHz-kort åt är mjukvarupaketen.
