Toshiba har nyligen lanserat en ny laptop och denna är något utöver det vanliga. Vi har tidigare rapporterat om Panasonic och dess ToughBooks (1 & 2) och denna laptop som lanserats av Toshiba verkar vara en mer eller mindre direkt konkurrent till denna. Toshiba har utsatt sin laptop som utrustats med ett 50% starkare moderkort, 40% starkare hårddiskskydd och en display som är tre gånger starkare samt 150% mer resistent än hos en vanlig laptop för extremt rigorösa tester.

"The Satellite Pro A120 is the first in a range of notebooks, which have been thoroughly tested using the HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) procedure to ensure long-term reliability. HALT is a combination of technical stress tests covering extreme heat variation, resistance to shocks and repetitive vibration. A few examples of the improved product design is a stronger LCD display hinge, a more robust, spill-resistant keyboard and added Hard Disk Drive (HDD) protection. Typical areas for improvement also include soldering weak points, loose screws, weak harness area and weak connector joints."
