Legit Reviews looked at four boards based on Intel’s latest i875P processor. It is obviously a new chipset, so BIOSes are not optimised yet (which is reflected by the 13 BIOS he used during the review). The boards were made by ABIT, AOpen, DFI and finally Intel.
“After using each of these boards, one did make an impression on me as to being the best and that was the ABIT IC7-G. For starters, the layout is simply amazing! It uses a thin northbridge fan that we never had any interference problems with (unlike the DFI and AOpen). It also had a fan header that allowed us to plug in our rear case fan with ease (unlike the DFI).

When it comes to actual board performance, you can’t ignore the fact that the ABIT IC7-G beat the other boards in FSB and Memory overclocking. On top of all this, the ABIT 1.3 BIOS was problem free and offered some really nice features.”
