Freezone CPU Cooler is a processor cooling system from the manufacturer CoolIT which really stands out from the crowd. Freezone CPU Cooler namely uses a peltier element for cooling the processor, but not by putting a peltier element on top of the processor. Instead CoolIT has gone for a so called waterchiller solution. Freezone CPU Cooler is simply a water cooling system which cools the water temperature far more effective than what a regular water cooling system can do, which in the end should result in better cooling capacity.
From what we know, this is the first commercial waterchiller solution which use a peltier element to cool the water and at PC Perspective they’ve taken a really close look at CoolIT’s new processor cooler. A really interesting solution and if nothing else a unique such. The cooling capacity is very good, even during tough conditions, but the price is a bit of an obstacle. With a recommended price of 399 USD it’s a quite expensive cooler.
But we’re still happy to see more peltier elements being used. We have now reported about three different peltier project over the last few weeks, we have to go back many years before we find such a frequent reporting about peltiers.
