Fujifilm has announced a new technology called Real Photo Technology and this technology is suppose to be a gift from God, if we are to believe Fujifilm. The technology will namely reduce the noise, even with regular digital cameras. Noise is something most average Joes curse, especially when taking pictures in bad lighting without the flash. Real Photo Technology is not a noise reduction technology but instead it tries to stop the noise from appearing at all. The receipt simply seems to be high ISO settings (high light sensitivity) together with faster shutter speeds. The higer the ISO setting the more light is absorbed by the camera during the photo moment. The problem with high ISO settings is that the amount noise increase significantly.
Fujifilm has therefore gone for taking in a lot of light but doing so during a very short period of time to minimize the noise and any lack of sharpness. A regular digital camera usually has ISO settings up to 400 but Real Photo Technology can use settings up to 3200, which together with fast shutter speeds will result in both sharp and noise-free pictures. With fast shutter speeds it gets easier to photograph moving objects, a positive side effects of Fujifilm’s technology.
We are truly looking forward to seeing some practical examples of Fujifilm’s technology that sounds very promising and a big step forward for the digital camera market. The technology is available with the manufacturer’s FinePix V10 and FinePix F30 models.
