Fujitsu has broadened its assortment of 2.5″ harddrives with the first 7200RPM model sporting 3.0GB/s SATA. The performance should thus be more than satisfactory, but the storage is in fact just as impressive, Fujitsu MHW2 BJ is namely available at capacities up to 160GB. The level of noise will be about 25 decibel and the harddrive has a power consumption at 2.3W during load. The 2.5″ harddrive market is continuing to grow and finally more and more high performance are starting to appear. It would be very interesting to see a comparison between Fujitsu’s latest creation and the first SSD harddrives, which are usually intended for the portable market and often use the 2.5″ format.
