Fujitsu recently launched a new 2.5″ harddrive sporting a mighty 300GB of storage, so even if 250GB is still impressive for a 2.5″ harddrive it’s not the main attraction of Fujitsu’s latest creation. The Fujitsu MHY2BH series namely has a lot more focus on performance through its 8MB cache, 5400 RPM and SATA interface, but the most important is the format of the harddrive. The 2.5″ format doesn’t have a specified height and Fujitsu’s new 250GB harddrive is only 9.5mm thick, a regular 2.5″ harddrive measures 12.5mm. This makes it possible for system builders to slim down their systems even further, while still offering quite a lot of storage.
