G.Skill has, like so many other memory manufacturers, seen the potential of Solid State Drives and launched two new SSD devices that will unite performance with a low price. An impossible equation to many, but G.Skill’s 2.5″ SATAII drives sports 64GB and 128GB storage respectively and the specifications are anything but poor for MLC-based drives. It specifies a read speed of 155MB/s and write speed of 90MB/s. If this is reflected by tests and in real applications is something the first review will have to decide. Unfortunately the press release doesn’t mention the exact pricing, but they should be fairly reasonable.
