G.Skill has announced two new models in its mainstream NQ series; DDR3-1066MHz (F3-8500CL7D-2GBNQ) and DDR3-1333MHz (F3-10600CL9D-2GBNQ). These two models are not designed for the extreme users but actually for the mainstream group. The DDR3-1066 modules sports 7-7-7-18 timings, while the DDR3-1333 comes with 9-9-9-24 timings. Both of them are covered by G.Skill’s lifetime warranty and will be available soon. They are sold in kits of two 1 GB modules. Even though these are still a bit too extreme for most users, it’s a step in the right direction of making DDR3 more mainstream.
