G.Skill was the first company to launch 2GB modules for the retail market and now it has released a set of ultrafast modules in the form of F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK and F2-6400CL4S-1GBHK. These two ‘kits’ are simply 800MHz modules which are guaranteed to work at CL4-4-3-5 latencies. Really low at high frequencies, something people have been wanting since the first appearance of DDR2 and even if these are not a massive improvement of the current situation they are at least a step in the right direction. G.Skill F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK (2GB kit) and F2-6400CL4S-1GBHK (1GB module) will be available in stores as soon as possible, but we don’t know the price.
