G.Skill has launched a new memory series called Trident specially designed for Intel’s processor series Core i7. The memory modules comes in triple channel kits and are specified to operate at 2000MHz with CL 9-9-9-24 timings, which is quite impressive since Intel officially only supports 1066MHz. To make sure the modules can do this G.Skill has supplied the modules with Trident heatspreaders that should keep them cool even at extreme clock frequencies.

To avoid damaging the processor G.Skill has optimized the Trident series so that the memory modules can deliver otimal performance at only 1.65V with the X58 platform. The memory modules are covered by a lifetime warranty with 2GB capacity with each mode, adding up to 6GB in total for the kit.
