Galaxy continues to show innovation and it is currently working on a GeForce GTX 460 that not only gets a milky white PCB but also digital power supply with plenty of phases. The graphics card is without a doubt geared for enthusiasts where the power circuitry is good for 240A.
Galaxy is starting to become a favorite in the office, even though the company is a rare sight up here in the North. Its latest milky white GeForce GTX 460 comes with 6+2 phases digital power supply where each circuit (VT1157SF) has a current capacity of 40A for a total of 240A for just the GPU.
The graphics card also has a digital PWM controller from Voltera, VT1185M, and three prodalizer capacitors from NEC. This will result in better stability and overclocking potential.
With the fitting color Galaxy’s new creation is slated to appear in stores before Christmas, but the price and cooling is still uncertain.
An interesting detail is that white circuit boards are very tricky. This is something Sapphire experienced earlier when it made white motherboards. it required extremely clean machines and fabs, which adds to the production cost, but it sure looks nice.
