Gateway has announced that it has delivered a binding offer to acquire all shares of PB Holding Company, the parent company of Packard Bell B.V. Packard Bell is a leading PC vendor in Europe and based in Paris. Gateway isn’t that common in Europe, or selling that well for that matter, but it is currently offering its computers in both France and the UK. The acquisition of Packard Bell will strengthen Gateway’s position on the European market and make it an overall bigger threat to Dell, HP, Lenovo, which are the three giants of the industry, not counting Acer, which is in turn is set to acquire Gateway.
