GeForce 7950GX2 has now been launched by NVIDIA and this monster card that we’ve been reporting about at numerous occasions the last month or so is without a doubt something out of the ordinary. NVIDIA has bascially taken two graphics cards and tied them up to together like a sandwich. A different solution compared to the other dual-GPU graphics cards we’ve seen earlier where the PCb has just become longer. NVIDIA’s solution saves space, if we can call a mighty card like the GeForce 7950GX2 space saving. When NVIDIA now launches GeForce 7950GX2 it is without the official Quad SLI support, somethng we’ve reported about earlier on, a technology many have been looking forward to is not among the specifications.

GeForce 7950GX2 is launched as the world’s fastest single-card graphics card. Although it is two cards in one, but only takes up one PCIe x16 slot. Quad SLI will not be let loose until the end of June, but we will show you that this is not a limitation impossible to work around, since NVIDIA has simply inactivated Quad SLI with its drivers. Something, not surprisingly, you can unlock.

Most medias only has access to one GeForce 7950GX2 while we at NH already have a en Quad SLI setup running in our test labb with four GPUs activated. unfortuantely a misunderstanding regarding the deadlines made it impossible for us to publish our review in time, but we are working as fast as we can at the moment. Those of you who will come to DreamHack we can announce that we will have a Quad SLI system up and running in our booth for those who are eager to see the delight live. Until our own review is ready for public viewing you can take a look at the reviews available on the web and below you can find a few we’ve chosen.
