Multiple sites have said it and we’ve heard the same, NVIDIA will launch the new GeForce 8800 GT on October 29. The card will beat the RV670 to the market by two weeks and by the looks of it it will be very affordable too. The card that is suppose to arrive at the end of the month will have 512 MB memory and a 256 bit bus. While the number of shader processors are being debated we’re fairly certain they will be 96 all in all and run at 1.2 GHz, it’s not written in stone though. Someone whispered that there might be two versions in the making, one with 96 and one with 112 shader processors, but no one seems certain which one will actually be launched on October 29. The core clock will be 600 MHz and the GDDR3 memory will run at 900 MHz, that is at least fairly certain.
