GeForce 8800 Ultra is looking more and more like the card that will compete with AMD/ATI’s coming Radeon X2900XTX. The website XTReview has now published specifications for this card and the coming dual-GPU card GeForce 8950GX2. According to the source GeForce 8800 Ultra will be clocked at 650MHz GPU and 2200MHz 768MB memory (384-bit DDR3) with 128 shaders clocked at 1800MHz. These figures looks quite probable. GeForce 8950GX2 will consist out of two 8800GTS 640MB cards punched together and clocked at 575/2000 with 96 shaders clocked at 1700MHz. Whether this is believable or not is impossible to say, but according to XTReview, 8800 Ultra will cost $549 and 8950GX2 $649.
