Geil has launched a new DDR2 memory module by the name Black Dragon Evo One. Geil’s new memory modules will be sold in dual and quad channel kits of 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB. Geil has set the frequencies of the Evo One modules to 800 MHz and 1066 MHz, with varying timings. Two different 800 MHz modules with CL4 and CL5 timings, while the 1066 MHz modules has to settle for CL5 only. Geil has also designed a new heatspreader sporting an aluminum base with heatpipes that transfers the heat up to the copper heatsinks, where the heat is emitted. The design of the cooler also makes it possible to use up to four modules and still get efficient cooling.
