GeIL, one of many companies attending CeBIT, has announced a family of memories bringing the ever popular greener and environmental thinking to the memory market. The family is called the GeIL Green Series and optimized for low power consumption. GeIL claims savings of 10-20%. All modules are DBT enhanced, operate at 10-20% lower voltages than JEDEC specifications and the packaging is made from recycled paper pulp.

The Power Saving Memory
Planet Earth, the home of all mankind has been under tremendous stress of pollution causing problems such as global warming in the past decades. GeIL, as part of the citizens on this planet and pioneers of the industry, has been active in researching and developing ‘green’ technology and products. GeIL DDR2 Green Series, as the name suggest, is a product with such green concept in mind. It is the first wave of GeIL’s green products and it is the first in the market. The working voltage of the Green Series DDR2 memory module is 10~20% lowered than the JEDEC standard of 1.8V for DDR2 which can save the module power consumption 10~20%. The packaging of the Green Series is made of recycled paper pulp, making the product ‘green’ inside and out.
All of GeIL Green Series memory modules are DBT enhanced for highest reliability and compatibility. GeIL is determined to provide users with performance, reliable and eco-friendly products.
