GIGABYTE GA-G1975X is one of the latest motherboards launched by the motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte and it’s crystal clear who this board is turned towards, namely enthusiasts and overclockers. At VR-Zone they’ve found out about it and written an overclocking article where they run Gigabyte’s top-of-the-range motherboard with an Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 955 (Presler) CPU and push the system to its limits. In these extreme tests they run, they find out that the motherboard behaves very well at extreme overclocking, but there’s still some work to do to improve the handling of the CPU-voltage. Just as Robert “Crotale” Kihlberg found out during his overclocking tests, even the most exotic cooling methods has to give in for the Presler-core’s heat dissipation during extreme overclocking.
