On September 25th, Gigabyte will announce the start of the International final of Gigabyte Open Overclocking Championship 2008. The final is held in Taipei, Taiwan, and a total of 26 teams will participate in the grand final with prices worth more than $6,000. Gigabyte will also offer great prices for the visitors and other participants that can make a contribution through Gigabyte’s betting system. You simply vote for the team you would like to win and if you were right, you get a chance to win a motherboard.
They will give out three Gigabyte EP45-DS3R motherboards and our two Swedish teams have every chance of doing well in the tight international competition. The first team consists of Jon “Elmor” Sandström together with Finnish overclocker Petri “SF3D” Korhonen.
The second team consists of Fredrik “Ekberg” Ekberg, from our Swedish colleagues at TechSweden, and in-house editor Jonas “Mean Machine” Klar. The Nordics are underrepresented compared to many other countries and make sure to vote for our teams that are about to compete for prizes, and honor to some degree I guess, later this month. You can vote once a day, but also make a guess in the “Predict the best SuperPi 1M score” where you can win another two Gigabyte EP45-DS3R motherboards.
