GM launches “Hummer”-laptops

Small preview imageHummer is both an expensive and delicious meal and a big masculine vehicle from General Motors, which is quite popular among people with oversized wallets. GM has now signed a three year deal with laptop manufacturer Itronix, who makes laptops and pocket PCs for the US Defence. Itronix will together with GM create a portable computer which will be able to withstand a punch or two bust ill not be as clumsy as the ones the miltairy use. With the Hummer-brand this is suppose to be the optimal accessory for the people who owns the car or someone who simply wants a more durable laptop.

The Hummer-laptop will except for its regular hardware be equipped with LEDs for those who work in the dark and other nice features such as GPS-antenna to keep track of your position. Unfortunately the Hummer-laptops will, just as the car, cost a few pennies. When they appear in stores on November 1st the price will be $2988 and up, but for those with a Hummer in the garage this is mearly a month or two’s gas bill so the price will most likely not be a problem.

“The Hummer laptop comes in black and silver with yellow, red or pewter-gray trim. Its battery lasts a little more than four hours; a battery extender pushes that to about seven hours. The Hummer laptop will be available at car dealerships that sell Hummer products or online at the GM-approved Web site Hummerstuff.com starting Nov. 1.”
