Google has updated its e-mail service Gmail with the ability to drag-and-drop for attachments. You can drag files from your computer and drop them into your e-mail and to make this possible Google chose a different path than most others. Instead of Flash Google used the renowned HTML5 format, which also limits the use of the new drag-and-drop technology to Firefox 3.6, Chrome 4 and beta versions of Safari.
Google is looking for the best possible support for its online services and proprietary formats like Adobe Flash, which most services uses to achieve drag-and-drop, will exclude some users.
