Google hiring too many, too fast?

Google is without a doubt one of the fastest growing companies on the IT market and new people is employed all the time at the search engine company. Although, according to Microsoft’s VP Steve Ballmer, Google has almost gone to far. Google is hiring too many too often, Google’s recruiting is simply insane. Google has 10,674 coworkers today, 88% more than the same period last year and in less than a year the workforce will have doubled again. It’s insane by Google to work like this, especially as it according to Ballmer, doesn’t have that many successful ventures outside of the search engine business.

“Redmond-based Microsoft, the world’s largest software company, expanded to 75,000 employees over almost three decades, a rate that made it easier for the company to digest new hires, Ballmer said.”

If we are to interpret this right, Google is its own biggest enemy, but then again there is a thought behind a too quick expansion becoming dangerous to a fast growing company. So far there doesn’t seem to be that many problems at Google though.
