Google has offered to supply the entire city of San Fransisco with free wireless networking though WiFi. More than 700,000 people live in the area of San Fransisco and they would all be able to access the network through a regular wireless network adapter common with many laptops. The service will be used to test new applications and services and will be funded through online advertising. However this is just for San Fransisco and Google has no plans to offer this in any other cities at the moment.
