Google Office has appeared earlier in the news. It turned out that the rumoured cooperation between Google and Sun would focus on spreading Sun’s Java, but now it seems that Google will help with Open Office after all. It has namely started to recruit people to help with the development of Open Office, which will strengthen its position towards Microsoft’s equivalent in the long run. It will still be a Office package you install locally and not an online version which has been discussed earlier.
