Television is the next step for Internet giant Google. During the Google I/O conference the company unveiled Google TV. As a combination of hardware and software Google TV is meant to join regular TV features with the web. Under the hood of Google TVwe find Intel’s energy efficient Atom CE4100 CPU along with a media processor that will enable users to not only watch TV but also browse and access online features.
Through seamless integration a search in Google TV will show results from TV broadcasts and the Internet, which is kind of the whole point of the product. As an entertainment hub all searches will be gathered in one place through integration with various Internet services.

Google TV use the Android operating system and supports Adobe Flash and use the company Chrome browser for surfing the web.
Google TV will be integrated into TVs and Blu-ray players from Sony, but also an external Google TV box from Logitech. In Q4 these will start selling in US, while the access to Android market and release of Google TV SDK is slated for 2011.
