Gran Paradiso is the code-name of Firefox 3.0. The perhaps biggest piece of news with this version is that it will use Gecko 1.9. The new platform brings a lot of updates over the current version 1.8 and it will most likely be the graphic portion that will be noticed most of all, but also the speed, security and handling of Extension have been updated, on top of the things we’ve mentioned before. Gran Paradiso Alpha 3 has now been released and is available for download. Like the name says, this is an Alpha version and far from perfect when it comes to stability and functions, but those who dare give it a try can download it from Mozilla’s server(Mac & Linux).
