The graphics circuit market usually drops a few points during the first quarter but during 2007 we’ve had an unusually large drop according to Jon Peddie Research. This is quite surprising as many were hoping that Windows Vista through its demanding Aero interface would boost the graphics circuit sales compared to last year. Instead it seems that the sales plummeted by 5.5%, all according to Jon Peddie Research. Intel sold the most graphics circuits during the first quarter of 2007 thanks to its integrated solutions. NVIDIA slipped down to second place after being the top seller during the fourth quarter, with ATI/AMD breathing down its neck.
