HD DVD is prefered over Blu-ray in Taiwan

There is a war raging between the two parties on the DVD-makret and the balance of power has been shifting pretty much all the time. Now it seems to have returned to the HD DVD camp again after Blu-ray being the dominant one. It is simply the taiwanese manufacturers that prefers HD DVD over Blu-ray since the transaction to HD DVD wil cost less. However they claim they will support any format that wins no matter if it turns out to be HD DVD or Blu-ray. We can also report that several companies are getting ready to produce and ship blue laser discs at the end of this year.
