High Vdimm and low Vcore can kill your AMD CPU revE

0

We know that many of our visitors here at NH are overclockers and that among these AMD is the dominant choice. We’ve just received some very interesting information about the E revision of AMD’s processors (the current revsion for Venice, San Diego, Toledo, Manchester, etc.) stating that when you are running a high Vdimm and at the same time a low Vcore you’re risking the very life of your processor due to the fact that if the difference between the two becomes to great you will break the diodes that keeps the processor safe from the higher Vdimm. Over at xtremesystems there is thread covering the subject where you among other can find a good table over what vcore is suitable when running a certain Vdimm.
