HP unveils designer netbook

HP is one of the few manufacturers that has decided not to go with Intel’s Atom processor but instead build the HP Mini-Note 2133, around VIA’s Nano processor platform. We were therefor extra glad to hear that HP has revealed a new model during the New York fashion week. HP took the opportunity to bring the new model up on the catwalk during Vivienne Tam’s fashion show. The reason is simply because HP has teamed up with the well known Asian fashion queen to create HP Digital Clutch.

Even if the name is anything by exciting we can safely say that HP’s netbook made a big impression with its red colors and peony flowers on the cover. The peony is the national favorite flower of China and would the computer be launched looking like this we can imagine a group of women that will throw over their finances just to get one.

Unfortunately not much was revealed about HP’s latest creation, but it’s quite clear that it is a 10″ model, unlike Mini-Note 2133 that has a 8.9″ display. The big question is if HP, like most of the competition, has moved on to Atom or if it is still using VIA’s Nano processor.

Specifications and a possible launch date is nowhere to be seen, but we’re pretty confident that this is by far not the last we will see of HP’s designer netbook.
