Netbooks have a lot of features that should make them appealing to female consumers already from the start. They are small, convenient often quite stylish. They can even fit inside a handbag, which is apparently very important. Multiple manufacturers like MSI and LG have taken additional steps by launching netbooks with more feminine colors where both offers pink colors for their 10″ netbooks and MSI has even launched a Love Edition of its Wind netbook.

We earlier revealed that HP is working on something similar for its next netbook that has been designed by Asian designer Vivienne Tam. With a red base, HP’s netbook has been covered in prints of the national flower of China, the peony.

The netbook was first displayed by Vivienne Tam during a fashion show in New York, but the exact details surrounding the netbook are still few. We now have an approximate launch date and that is sometime in December. We’re guessing early December due to the approaching Holiday shopping.

It’s also becoming all the more obvious that HP’s new netbook will house an Intel Atom processor, which means that it will be moving away from its previous cooperating with VIA. Additional details remain unknown.
