HTC is one of the mobile phone makers that has shown interest in the new mobile operating system Android. Search engine Google has played a big part of the development of the Android platform and one of the biggest advantages of Android-based phones is the tight bond with Google and its software. At Reghardware they have published a video of representative from Vodafone shows HTC’s second and newest Android phone. HTC Magic will integrate perfectly with applications like Google Search, Google Maps, Google Gmail and YouTube.
They focus on the support for Google Maps in the video, where they even let the user twist and turn the phone to get a better view in “street mode.” They also show how an integrated bar code reader can be used to found product prices online and then navigate via GPS to the closest and cheapest store.
Android and Google have some very fun and interesting services to offers and we look forward to more mobile phones based on the new platform.
