I-O Data has presented two new monitors with LCD technology that stands out in a different way. The company has integrated a video processor from Renesas that will enable the monitors to scale up low-resolution video material to better quality through its “super-resolution technology”.
I-O Data has chosen a circuit from Renesas that is part of the Neo Clear Resolution series and iwll enable monitors to produce better and sharper images from the same base material, in realtime without delays. The circuit used by I-O Data support noise and exposure reduction in video material. This is very effective with low resolution material being scaled up to the native 1920×1080 pixels. The monitors also has a demo mode where you can see the difference between unprocessed and processed video.
I-O Data launches two monitors sporting the new super-resolution technology, 21.5″ LCD-MF223XSBR and big brother 23″ LCD-MF232XSBR. Both monitors has a response time at 2ms (GtG), a dynamic contrast ratio at 30,000:1 and 160° viewing angles. The monitors also comes with 1.5W speakers and D-Sub, DVI, and HDMI inputs.
The monitors will go on sale in Japan in February.
