Sony has received quite a lot of criticism for its PlayStation 3 console and not the least its Blu-ray support as this has resulted in a high price and caused supply issues. According to Sony, the choice of including Blu-ray may very well be the smartest thing it did during the development PlayStation 3. That is at least what Sony president Phil Harrison claims in an interview with GameDaily Biz.
“[Including Blu-ray] will be, I believe, reflected on as the smartest decision we ever made.”
The Blu-ray support is truly one of the most astonishing features of the PlayStation 3 console and whether this will bring Sony to victory we will have to wait a few years and see.
