Intel call back Pentium 4 EE processors

0

Intel has been forced to call back about a hundred Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.73GHz processors. The reason is simply that it has bundled a defective heatsink with the processor. Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.73GHz has a processorbuss at 1066MHz and L2-cache at 2MB and is the most powerful processor in Intel’s single core series. It might sounds as a rather trivial problem with a defective heatsink but considering the Prescott-core’s enormous heat dissipation we can assure you that you do not want a defective cooler. We pressume that Intel isn’t selling many of these CPUs and probably won’t have to call backl all that many. But if there are any wealthy NH-members with a P4 EE 3.73GHz with batch number 3502A770 you should contact Intel or your retailer.
