FSB overclocking has been reborn with the new Intel Core 2 series. It didn’t take long before we saw the first results over 600MHz FSB, later we saw 650MHz, and soon after that 675MHz. The Asian overclockers has been the leading in this field, and while we’re surprised it wasn’t AndreYang that managed to break 700MHz FSB, it was another asian, ricklee. AndreYang had been moving closer and closer to 700MHz, with a personal best of 690MHz with a Core 2 Duo E6850 and DFI P35-T2R, alas he was not the one who got there first.
The results was achieved about two weeks ago, but we haven’t seen anyone cover this before. Ricklee pushed his Core 2 Duo to 4.2GHz and 700MHz FSB with a MSI P35-D3 board. We can only assume that it was with help of liquid nitrogen.
