Supply and demand should always go hand in hand for a product to be marketed in the right way. Now that Intel will soon released its first quad-core desktop processor the supply will be pretty slim and the question is if the price and enthusiast aura of the processor is enough to keep the demand at the same level. It is counting on the price to be the same of Core 2 Extreme X6800 with two cores, but if the supply gets thin it’s possible that the prices will go up. The processor can today be found at between $950 and $1100, but, alas, as expected none have it in stock.
