Intel has broadened its Core architecture from budget to the high-performance segment since the launch, but the older NetBurst architecture and the Pentium family is still around as a budget alternative. The prices are already quite low, but Intel is now planning to further lower the prices of its NetBurst architecture. We’re not talking minor price cuts here but up to 170 percent for some of the more expensive Pentium 4 processors. Pentium 4 650 will namely be lowered from 273 USD to 84 USD. The price cuts are expected to appear happen at April 22, so those of you who are looking for a cheap update of your NetBurst system it may be worth waiting a month or two.
