Intel cuts prices of 2MB Xeon DP

Intel’s workstation and server processors, Xeon DP, just got a huge price cuts. It’s the Xeon DP-processors with 2MB L2-cache who is affected by the cut, I.e. the 3.0GHz, 3.2GHz, 3.4GHz and 3.6GHz models. The earlier prices were $316, $455, $690 and $851, and afterwards they were $256, $316, $455 and $690. This makes us believe that Intel is about to launch the new model, Xeon DP 3.8GHz. And after that we are also waiting for the updated version of Xeon DP in November, with full AMD64 compatibility.
