Intel continues to propagate for its new power efficient image by launch new LV-models of its serverprocessor Xeon. LV stands for Low Voltage and means that the processors consume much les power than before and the first to come out is Xeon LV 3.0GHz, which has a specified consumption at 55W, together with Xeon MV 3.20GHz specified to 90W. Both processors has support for 64-bit execution and is geared towards serverracks and similar crowded areas. At the same time it has not forgotten about its heritage and launched a 3.8GHz model of Xeon with 64-bit support and 2MB L2-cache.
