Intel Napa – better performance and lower power consumption

Intel Napa is the name of the new mobile platform which Intel wiill launch at the start of next year, to replace today’s Sonoma platform. Napa is in other terms a further development of Intel’s Centrino platform and be the first which introduce processors with dual cores for Intel’s mobile platform. Napa will with the new Yonah processor not only offer better performance for the platform but Intel has also incresed the bandwidth for the wireless network and at the same time managed to lower power consumption with about 28%. The size of portable computers based on the Napa platform will be smaller with about 30%. Intel has without a doubt a lot of interesting to say about Napa and in a few weeks we will now how this story ends.
