Intel is currently working on its coming processor architecture Penryn and company’s first processor made with a 45nm process has already made some great progress and is closing in on the launch. Intel has confirmed that it has working samples of Penryn in its labs and now it’s all up to finding and eliminating any possible bugs before the launch during the second half of 2007. Pictures of Intel’s Penryn processors have been a rare sight, but at Israeli hardware site HWZone they’ve published precisely that. They’ve namely visited Intel’s manufacturing plant Fab 28 in Kiryat Gat, Israel. The plant is currently a work place, but that didn’t stop Ron Friedman, responsible for the processor development, from posing with Intel’s new creation.

Penryn is expected to arrive during the second half of 2007 and we’re really looking forward to seeing Intel’s first 45nm processor architecture on the market.
