We’ve earlier reported about Intel’s quad-core CPU’s that the processor giant recently has showcased, which by the way is the first processor with quad cores for the x86 architecture. At that point, the CPU with the codename Clovertown was claimed to not show up on the market for at least a year, during next year in other words. But now Intel’s chief technician has claimed that Intel will be shipping quad-core CPU’s already in the end of 2006. If it’s about samples for computer manufacturers or processors for end-consumers is unclearer, though. However, Intel seems to be willing to beat AMD in the race for quad cores.
