Intel to launch another dual-core Celeron in Q2

0

Intel seems to be quite pleased with its first dual-core Celeron processor, E1200, which just hit the market. Even if Intel hasn’t revealed any plans for more dual-core Celerons in the future, sources at motherboard manufacturers claims that another model is on the way. Celeron E1400 will launch during the second quarter of 2008, work at 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB and sport 512KB L2 cache. The chip is based on the 65nm Conroe core and has a 65W TDP. It will cost 53 USD (1Ku). Whether this could be a fun toy for overclocker and enthusiasts remains to be seen, but it sure seems like it.
