Presler is the codename for Intel’s next dual-core CPU which is based on the NetBurst-architecture but is manufactured with 65nm-technology. Intel has earlier only given positive reports of the development of Presler, but now mainboard manufacturers provide information which could be read as “there are some problems with the development”. The two Presler-models 920 (2.8GHz) and 930 (3.0GHz) should have stability problems, something that could get Intel to postpone their launch of the CPU’s. Intel’s Yonah-CPU’s which also has dual cores and utilizes 65nm-technology, has made the stability test’s with no problems whatsoever, is expected to be launched during January 2006.
